Donation Policies

  1. BNRC accepts charitable contributions in support of its work to protect and preserve the scenic beauty and ecological integrity of the Berkshires for public benefit and enjoyment.
  2. BNRC cannot refund charitable contributions.  Policies regarding refunds of payment to attend events, if applicable, will be made within 30 days of BNRC receipt of customer request.  Requests for refunds must be made in writing.  Refunds will be made by check payable to the original customer.

  4. Contributions are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law.  BNRC will provide written acknowledgement of all gifts incompliance with Internal Revenue Code requirements.  Unless otherwise specified, all contributions will be used to support general operations of BNRC.
  5. All transactions will be made in United States dollars.
  6. By making a contribution electronically, the payer certifies that he or she is 18 years old.
  7. All correspondence with donors will be made by U.S. mail and will be sent to the payer’s billing address unless an alternative shipping address is provided at the time of the donation.
  8. It is the policy of BNRC to comply with the laws of the United States.  It is also BNRC policy to comply with regulations and orders regarding doing business with, maintaining accounts for or handling transactions or monetary transfers for foreign countries or foreign nationals listed on the OFAC list of Specially Designated Nationals and Block Entities.
  9. BNRC does not sell or share a donor’s personal information.  Information collected is safeguarded, and is for internal use only
  10. BNRC is a 501(c)3 charitable organization recognized by the Internal Revenue Service, formed in 1967 to advance the conservation of the scenic landscape and natural resource features of Berkshire County, Massachusetts, USA.
