Hoosac Range Trail

December 1, 2012 - December 1, 2012
10:00 AM - 1:00 PM

Get out for a hike before the holiday bustle! The Hoosac Range offers excellent views of the east and west during the winter.  Bring crampons or snowshoes if the weather calls for them.

Bring snacks, plenty of water, and appropriate footwear! Crampons and snowshoes are welcome if you see fit. Carpooling is appreciated.

Distance: 6 miles

Terrain: Trails, easy to moderate

Pace/Time: Easy, 3 hours, 4 if snowshoeing

Directions: From the center of North Adams take Route 2 east towards Savoy/Florida. Climb past the hairpin turn and look for the Wigwam cabins on your right. Take a right into the trailhead/parking lot after passing the cabins but just before passing under the green highway sign. If you cross into Florida, you’ve gone too far. Extra parking is available next door at the Wigwam Cabins.
