BNRC protects 85 acres in Otis

The Hidden Pond CR, donated by Philip R. Coleman and Paul A. Harsch III, is adjacent to BNRC’s 124 acre Hitt CR and land protected for Springfield’s water supply. It is designated in EOEA’s Living Waters Map as Critical Supporting Watershed for the Westfield and Farmington Rivers and includes a scenic beaver pond and a mixed forest of hemlock and hardwoods.
