Andrew Groff

Andrew Groff joined BNRC shortly after graduating from the University of Vermont with a bachelor's degree in geography and political science. Born and raised in Lee, he enjoyed being a part of the construction of BNRC's new trail at Basin Pond in East Lee. Andrew hopes to put his experience from monitoring and documenting lands with GIS and GPS at BNRC to work in the future as he pursues a career in either GIS or land conservation.

Jake Hewes

Jake Hewes, son of Pittsfield native Judy Blood Hewes, arrived at BNRC in early May eager to learn the ins and outs of land trust stewardship. In February 2006 Jake completed his Master's degree in Forest Resources at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. While in Pittsfield, Jake and wife Stacia enjoyed beautiful lakeside accommodations at BNRC's Rice Cottage. Jake has accepted a position with the Trust for Public Land in Concord, NH.

Brian Ketchen

Brian Ketchen, an Alford native, is no stranger to the woods. In the last five years he has hiked more miles than everyone else in the office combined, ticking off the Appalachian Trail, the Pacific Crest Trail and Vermont's Long Trail. Brian is completing his undergraduate work at University of Massachusetts, Amherst. He is majoring in Natural Resource Studies with a minor in Wildlife and Fisheries Conservation.
