RESOURCES REPORT
BERKSHIRE NATURAL RESOURCES COUNCIL
VOLUME 17 Summer 2009 NO. 1

Social notes:

Bryan EmmeFormer BNRC Stewardship Manager Bryan Emmett and Shawnee Barnes were married on August 1 at Barnes’s family home on Jug End in Egremont. With his keen and curious intellect and deep work ethic—not to mention his affection for dogs—Emmett made a great many friends around the Berkshires during his five-year tenure with BNRC.

After departing BNRC, Emmett spent half a year in New Zealand learning the ropes of apple orcharding.

In May this year, Barnes graduated from Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts with a degree in education, an event Emmett celebrated by packing a picnic and proposing marriage at BNRC’s Constitution Hill in Lanesboro. Barnes accepted, marking another significant moment at this historically rich property.

The newlyweds have now moved to Ithaca, NY, where Emmett will pursue a graduate degree in horticulture.
