Tim Crane of Windsor elected to board


At its annual meeting in September, the Resources Council's Board of Corporators elected Tim Crane to fill an unexpired term on the Board of Directors left by the retirement of Neil Orenstein from the board.

Crane, who lives in Windsor, gave a the Resources Council a conservation restriction on 80 acres along Route 9 in 1998. More recently, Crane made a bargain sale to the state Division of Fisheries and Wildlife of a restriction on over 300 acres.

Orenstein, a resident of Monterey, founded Sportsmen for Land Preservation, a group that raised over $300,000 for the Council's land preservation program. George Wislocki, Council president, thanked Orenstein for his valuable work in helping the Council build connections with Berkshire sportsmen.
