Clam River

picture
“Preserve Steward Rob Scott goes diving for Clams in the Clam River.”

The cool Clam River originates on the Berkshire plateau in Otis, runs through the hills of Sandisfield to its junction with the Farmington River.  On its journey the river passes by 474 acres and over a mile and a half of BNRC conservation land.  The Clam River property, located in one of the most undeveloped parts of Massachusetts, is truly a wild place.  The Clam River’s clear waters still support a population of its namesake bivalves.
